Kaci Newman founded The Pivot Pad with a deep commitment to supporting young women during one of life’s most challenging transitions. With a background in [social work/nonprofit management/youth development], Kaci witnessed firsthand the gaps in services for young women aging out of Houston’s foster care system.

Driven by the belief that every young woman deserves a strong foundation for independence, Kaci created The Pivot Pad to provide not just housing, but comprehensive support that addresses the whole person—mental health, life skills, career development, and community connection.

Under Kaci’s leadership, The Pivot Pad has become a trusted resource in Houston’s foster care community, partnering with Texas DFPS, Workforce Solutions Gulf Coast, and local organizations to ensure residents receive holistic support. Her vision continues to guide the program’s trauma-informed, strengths-based approach that celebrates each resident’s unique journey and potential.
